Lilyfield

Lilyfield is a small suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, located 6 kilometres west of the Sydney Central Business District, in the local government area of the Municipality of Leichhardt.

Lilyfield offers a mix of traditional and modern homes catering to different needs and preferences. It’s natural beauty including green spaces, combined with its growth in property values makes it an attractive area for investors and families.

History

It’s widely believed that Lilyfield was named after the lilies that grew on the land before it was developed.

Transport

Lilyfield is well connected for transport. It is also a bus terminus for several services including those to Coogee and the CBD. The Metro Light Rail also has a terminus here. The City West Link Road also provides road access to Parramatta Road and the CBD.

Recreation

Lilyfield has good shopping facilities nearby, mainly in Rozelle and Balmain. Leichhardt Park, which includes the Leichhardt Aquatic Centre was originally part of Leichhardt as was Leichhardt Oval (the home of the Wests Tigers/Balmain Tigers.)
